Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
I think Ziggy was the luchador you couldn't keep your eyes off, more-so then anyone else. Depending on how he is written, he could be a standout character. As others have said we've had similar characters before, but nothing that has quite nailed that motivational, helpful, but slightly unhinged vibe like this show did with Ziggy.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
Honestly, I think "Welcome To Wrestle Heroes" deserves this nod. For a show like this, the setup and the beginnings of the lore are very important, and I think this did really well to set the tone of what to expect. The introduction of Marvolo Jr and Marvolo II was just the right amount of comedy.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
Tough one this. I think the Wrestle Heroes match was well written and paced, and slotted around the segments very well. I, however, did not like the ending for obvious reasons.
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Have to give it to Cubey. Pulled in every lever he could to snatch the world title from the fan favourite, and in the process has set himself and War Machine up as main heels for the start of the volume. Congrats Jordan.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
As the kids would say "the vibes were immaculate". I think the show did a great job of setting the tone, of introducing characters and giving them chance to shine in their own right. In terms of Pixelshift, I was happy to get the "Mysterio spot" of surviving from the first bell to the last, which really showed the resilience and underdoggedness I wanted to see in him, and it is such a shame I was just a whisker away from top billing in the end, though I am proud to be the first Gift of the Gods champion, and hope I can manage to defend it exactly 5 times 😀
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
Mine is Academius. I found myself reading it and wished that I could kick him in the shin! "I teach in the most prestigious academies" The way I felt reading your work felt like I was watching it live and had me hoping someone was gonna put the boots on you! The arrogance, the matter-of-factness (is that a word!?), just that feeling of entitled ass professor and I absolutely love how much your work (with this character) has me feeling. I feel like big things are on their way, and you've got the writing and character to do some great work I predict! Keep it up!
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
War Machine: Great way to end an awesome show. Newton stealing the title, the War Machine forming and proving their going to be tough to topple. What about Pixleshift, what happens for him now!? I'm excited to see what's next! There are lots of different avenues/streams/branches coming out of this one and I'm sure they're all going to be stories that'll leave me wanting more.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
Loved all the action at the end of the night, the lead up to the finish was great and always fun to see who ends up coming out on top. Having Dr. Cube gain the upper hand with the help of Warlord Mars, and Santiago Sinestro. Leaves it open for Pixleshift to get his revenge (hopefully)
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Dr. Cube - Walked out with the biggest prize of the night, and a group to back him up. Well deserved honors and looking forward to this storyline going forward, as well as more of your work!
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
Great show to read. I enjoyed the little segments scattered in amongst the match itself, great way to introduce everyone and break up the match at the same time. Some good characters in here, great reads from a lot of you too! Nice job all the way around by everyone involved.
