Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): The One I enjoyed the most was absolutely Nigel Powers I think that character is one I'm very pre conditioned to liking. Just because of how much of a send up and how into the character he gets. The promo was really fun, the elimination fit well. It's just capturing that voice super well.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): There's a lot of enjoyable segments of the night. and I could really go with a lot of the intro stuff. But when it comes to characters and pushing stuff along. "I Believe In you" was one I enjoyed immensely, it got a laugh from the dismay of black scar to Ziggy's relentless positivity.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): Well guess it's gotta be the Wrestle heroes match huh? A match that takes up the entire card is very ambitious but it was pulled off well. To compare it to a lucha underground match it's very Aztec Warfare and it was very good to give everyone character moments on that.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Pixelshift! the Ironman challenge begins for you! started at the very beginning and lasted to the very end. With a very gutsy performance. It was very much his story to tell in that match.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: The word I can use for this first show and one I've been trying to avoid repeating when writing out this feedback is fun. Immediately the vibe shift is super different and it can be told as such. There's threads of something deeper laid out but this doesn't feel like it's super (For lack of a better word) Grimdark like it was before. and that's awesome you've captured the vibe you were going for. It's bright and vibrant and I really like how things are going.
Most Compelling Luchador
Inclined to agree with pretty much everything Wasabi said on this. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Austin Powers films, so seeing that unmistakable blend of Mike Myers swagger and Michael Caine cool fused into a single character for the upcoming OSW volume honestly feels like a bit of a personal gift. Huge props to Mike as well for going all in on the character — full commitment and no half-measures — even if his British accent does need some serious work/polish
(said with love Laner lmao).
Also, big shoutout to Ziggy Robbins. We’ve seen a few handlers have a crack at the motivational-speaker type before with mixed results, but Ziggy absolutely owns it. Looks the part, sounds the part, and — most importantly — feels legit. A seriously strong debut, imo.
Most Enjoyable Segment
I genuinely loved the format of the show and all the little segments peppered throughout the Wrestle Heroes match. I’ll admit, I was quietly wondering how on earth Dean was going to pull that off without it feeling clunky, but it all slotted together so seamlessly. No awkward gear changes, no 'why is this happening now' moments... Smooth as fucking hell. I also really liked the fact not every character got their own dedicated segment right off the bat. It leaves a bit of mystery, gives things room to breathe, and means we’ve got stuff to uncover in the coming weeks rather than having everything dumped on us in one go.
As for my favourite moment? Has to be the show-ender. Mars and Siniestro rocking up at the death to hand Dr Cube an assist was wild. Genuinely did not see that coming, but then bang — we immediately get the 'why' with the freshly crowned OSW Champion unveiling his master plan in the shape of War Machine. Kicking the volume off with a stable of that size, stacked with seriously capable handlers, is a hell of a statement.
Most Enjoyed Match
No second guessing what takes the award here. Absolute banger of a match to open Volume IV, with every character getting their moment in the spotlight (or in Glitter's case twice). Props to Deano and Laner for handling that little hiccup quickly and cleanly lol.
Luchador of the Night
Pixelshift with the absolute heartbreaker
Poor fucker was so close to surviving the entire match, only to get bummed by War Machine at the worst possible moment.
That said, massive credit where it’s due — a huge showing from both character and handler. I said during the reveals a few weeks back that this felt like a match made in heaven and I’m standing firmly by that take. Matt’s winning the World Title with this guy one day — mark my words.
Your Overall Feedback / Remarks
Man... It honestly felt like we’d been waiting for Saturday night forever with all the hype and build-up to Wrestle Heroes — and it absolutely delivered. This feels like the biggest escape into OSW I’ve had yet, and I mean that in the best possible way. It’s like stepping into a real wrestling world, full of real personalities, but with way more fun and humour thrown in for good measure. Even visually the site changes are a treat — the bright colours, the comic book vibes, the little tweaks everywhere — it all screams fresh start. Honestly, it was exactly the shake-up OSW needed to keep things feeling exciting
The debut show itself? Incredible. The promos? Top-tier and genuinely a joy to read... I’m buzzing to see where this goes over the next (fingers crossed) few years.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): Ziggy Robbins - This mother was all over the place! Got a kick out of his motivational shtick, and Black Scar finding him so insufferable on commentary. Great potential to be mined there.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): Friendship - Wonderful pairing and I thought the interplay was perfect between two overlapping gimmicks. Intrigued to see the direction this takes.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): It’s a tough one, but I’ll give it to the Wrestle Heroes match. For real, though, this was a perfect Rumble-style bout (haven’t seen Aztec Warfare). Everybody got their shit in, there were weapon spots to spice things up, and there was a great mix of definitive and flash eliminations. Characters shone through in the action.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Going with what I’m sure will be the consensus here with Pixelshift. He may ‘only’ have gone home with the second most prestigious title, but he went the freakin’ distance and only lost due to screwy circumstances. All-time dig-deep fiery babyface performance on the very first night! Killer gimmick to boot.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
Incredible first episode to the Volume. I said in the discord that it felt like a damn season finale rather than the pilot. Characters leapt off the screen throughout, action was hard-hitting, everything was there.
Gorgeous presentation. I’m a sucker for neon vibes, and the blue and pink pop beautifully. The comic-book art style lends itself to the lucha action perfectly. I bet the formatting is a pain in the ass to do, but like I say, it pays off.
Personally, super happy with Warlord’s portrayal. The vibes, the verbiage, it was all pitch-freakin’-perfect. Needless to say, stoked to see where he’s headed with War Machine.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
I have to pick Morcant. What a powerhouse—he was running through everyone. I honestly didn’t get a chance to read his promo right away, but I 100% made the effort once the show was over, and I’m really glad I did. His voice fits his powerhouse style perfectly, with just the right touch of mystery. I’m already curious and excited to see where his storylines lead.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
Super selfish pick, but I really enjoyed VHS with my dude and Glitter. I’m slowly figuring my character out, and this segment felt spot-on for his voice. It was a nice confidence boost going forward.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
The battle royal. It was really well written, and I liked how it was spread out and broken up with segments. That was a smart way to do it and helped the whole thing flow really well.
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Dr. Cube. I’ve got to go with Dr. Cube as our new and first World Champion. Great promo, and it felt well deserved. There’s a lot of great talent on the roster, and everyone delivered strong work, but this one stood out.
Overall Feedback Remarks: What an amazing show. I had so many questions going in about how the new season would feel. It did take me a minute to adjust to hearing Laner read something that wasn’t Volume 3, but wow—what a show. I’m super pumped to see where this goes, especially with how many storylines were hinted at. I really hope the new members enjoyed it too, because that was an epic introduction to a new fed. Laner is a god.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): Ziggy Robbins
I loved how he came across, a little Sunshine-esque but I think he'll fit the environment here really well. Loved the moments he had, and how he seemed to cheer everyone on, he's the kinda guy that can really get under the skin of some of the more serious roster members.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): Mircales Cost Extra
I thought this would be a really interesting initial pairing whenever these two do square off, and we got to see a glimpse on the first night. Just love everything about Nigel Powers - the viagra, gum and 50 pence coin were such a great touch. Then he doubles down with the "Keep the change". Great segment to add a bit of fire.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
I think for this particular event, I'll talk about which segment of the match I liked best. Firstly, the fact that we had a single match with cutaway segments throughout the entire show and it all felt seamless was impressive in itself. That's tough to do.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Pixelshift
I love how this came across. Dr Cube wins the match, but in a way that puts Pixelshift over instantly. As a fan, you have to root for him, you feel for him and he gets the nod here for the iron man performance.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
Loved the show, loved the feuds that were kickstarted. Some realy hype and interest generated from what was an awesome event. Especially loved the fact that it was live and hearing Laner's Nigel Powers accent, absolute classic.
From a show and character point of view, I'm really interested in the direction both of my characters are going in. An interesting set up with Moretti and Academius, especially. Hell of a debut show.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): compelling what a fun word….hmmm, I’m gonna say for me, Santiago Sinestro, he’s got a clean gimmick and while he looks to be the third of War Machine, he’s probably the one who has me the most intrigued into his path with the group.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): The Blackhand Club, selfish? Maybe a little but Idk I’m a sucker for more tongue in cheek character settings. And Moretti having his own little card game seemed amazing. Honestly love it more for Moretti than I do my own character, but Tropico was trying to get his money anyway he could I respect it.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): not a lot of options, but Yeah come one even it there was other matches, it’s Wrestle Heroes. Every single character had shine and got their moveset, style and character across. Fueds were set up, and most importantly champions were Crowned.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Pixelshift, I mean, it was his friggin match. Started from the beginning had a great showing, dude is a made man babyface. Great gimmick too.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: yeah man this OSW seems awesome as hell. I don’t know about the previous seasons but if it’s always like this? Yeah man good shit.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
I'll be honest, this question is very hard for me to answer due to the fact that I'm still trying to understand all the Luchadors. I might give a clearer answer next show.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
I'm sorry, but I love The Blackhand Club and it's not because Stupido was in it, but because of how every character shines in this segment. I love how Moretti is portrayed in this segment especially. I would love to see where Moretti and Academius's potential feud will lead these two
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
I mean... It's Wrestle Heroes, right? Of course, it's the namesake match! I love how all the wrestlers intertwine one way or another. The right luchador won, and I can't wait for the aftermath of Wrestle Heroes!
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Pixelshift hands down. Great character, even greater babyface, and it shows, as he has a great showing in Wrestle Heroes.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
As usual, a GREAT SHOW. Dean, you da man!
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
Ziggy Robbins - I just loved his shanagains. His omnipresent upbeat nature was just fantastic. He's pulling mid-match pep talks. I was literally guffawing at his overwhelmingly positive, saccharine-sweet speech after being eliminated. His character was just wonderful and a change of pace from the norm of what OSW has been. Plus Laner's presentation of Ziggy made it so much better.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
The Black Hand Club - I loved the way that Supido and Tropico came across here, Supido just being... Stupid, Tropico having Carlito Caribian Cool vibes ("That Ain't Tropico"). The way Blackhand wouldn't let Academius gamble with them. Showing that he knew Moretti knew that Academius was someone capable of potentially taking away the house edge.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
Well, that would have to be Wrestle Heroes. An action-packed match filled with action, packed action, it was a fun show from Ziggy's aforementioned pep talks. Everyone seems to shine and get good screen time. It was an ass-whooping match with fun and funny moments as well as great highspots.
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Pixel Shift - I have to give it to the winner and the New World Champion. Helluva a showing with Pixel Shift going bell to friggin' bell. You cannot get over that big in one night, hell of a match to win and a hell of a debut.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
Just a wonderful show, I cannot begin to say how much I appreciate all the work Dean put into this one match show. Wonderful stuff, and on a personal level, the Gory Special/Blackhole Slam combo move was something out of a video game or comic book. Just unexpected and popped me big.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
Ziggy Robbins for sure. Dude is so optimistic and positive that I couldn't help but root for him every time he clapped his hands and cheered for his opponents, despite it being a winner takes all kind of bout. I hope that this type of positivity is genuine and doesn't give him any wiggle room to turn heel or something like that. I'd be sad if it is. I want to see more of these antics in the future.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
War Machine takes it here. Not only do we have the debut of our first stable, but we also got to see their first rival in Edward Newton, who has proven himself to be quite a dominant force beforehand. With the added factor of the stolen title belt, I can't help but wonder where this feud is gonna head down the road. I wonder how much of the Newton of volumes one and two we'll get to see in this one? Excited to find out!
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
I'm not gonna give it to the Wrestle Heroes match...
... Just kidding. 😛
This was an awesome match that showcased just about everyone's characters well. It was an amazing show to read and even more fun to watch live. I can't wait to see how this is followed up on with the weekly shows.
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Gotta be Pixelshift. Even in defeat, they've stood out the most at this show. Dude was one of the first guys in the match and he managed to nearly win the world title until Cube's new henchmen got involved. Dude managed to take a lot of moves and was placed in every submission hold under the sun, yet still came in second place. Amazing performance by the Living Glitch. Hopefully they can rack up five defenses with that belt and get another shot at the World Championship.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
I do kind of wish Benny had more of a presence in the show, He showed up to high five some fans and then vanished without a trace. Other than that, I had a great time.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
Come on, you know it's got to be Glitter. My most anticipated character, and he paid off. Exactly how I was hoping he'd be. Just like Goldust on steroids (or X, I suppose). Pitch perfect.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
Going off the above, I'm going to say VHS. El Idolo Perdido was a close second for me on characters here. The whole speech he gave was the type of YouTube content creators I follow, and the way Glitter glittered all over it was perfect. That the issue was kept up the whole match was a great bit of storytelling.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
The way this match weaved in and out of segments was masterfully done. I was wondering how it was going to go down, but was very surprised in how seamless it was. It makes me want to see Lambs to the Slaughter just be the whole show. With the decreased PPV show cycle, perhaps we have both Pandemonium and Lambs as individual shows?
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Pixelshift. As the match wore on, I was rooting more and more for him, and when he came to the final two, I needed him to get the W. When he didn't, it was made even better by the fact there was interference. Just a classic babyface moment.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
Great show to kick off this volume, and the whole new era. It felt like a breath of fresh air, and you can feel the increased energy. Let's keep it moving!
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
Hmm this is a tough one, I personally loved the hilarity of the Nigel Powers. This character adds some comedy, which is often times needed, so I'll be a fan of his going forward.
Newton is up there as well, even in defeat, he seems to always have a plan, which keeps as a main focus of most shows.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
I personally liked war machine. Not just because the character I handle was in it, but because the segment really reminded me of an old school wrestling (pun intended) moment. The specific line of 'that's not a champion, that's a control structure' really struck a cord and sounded great. The addition of the 'henchmen' in riddle masks flooding the ring just really felt on brand as well. I loved the ending to the debut show.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
WrestleHeroes,clearly.
I would think writing something like this would be an absolute nightmare, yet somehow it seemed everyone had their moment and a bit of a showcase.
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
Dr Cube. Dude won the world title. Obviously Pixelshift had a strong showing and was clearly the baby face. But on a night like this, the guy who walks away holding the belt (even with a little help 🙂 ) gets the nod from me.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
I thought this was an exceptional first show, from the opening segment with the cloaked figures right to the chaos at the end, it felt like everything fit. The characters pop and everything about it seems bright and refreshed!
I really do enjoy everything now being seemingly grounded in a bit more reality. I also am a huge mark for luchadors!
Bravo to everyone involved with this first show.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
i enjoyed the showing of guys like edward newton and pixelshift but i was really intrigued with morcant blacktide for how dominant he was portrayed when he came in and cleared house how he did. really excited to see the stories he’ll have
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
i dont like to pick segments my guy was involved in but war machine was just alot. from them trying to finish off pixelshift to edward newton coming it and just mucking it up. theres alot to look forward to.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
the wrestle heroes from a hit from start to finish. really liked the presentation/format as well
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
i was most intrigued by morcant blacktide but i must acknowledge the showing again and efforts of pixelshift. as said above, basically went bell to bell and really has the people on his side right now.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
it was an amazing event, dare i say even better than i thought itd be which is wild of me to say. i didnt know what to expect but everything turned out great from the flow of the segments to the match itself. im also just filled with gratitude being able to win my first world title. its a cool feeling even if its just a lil writing game we do every few weeks. this show was an amazing tone setter, cant wait to see what the future has for us.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): Hands Down it was Dr. Cube for me. He didnt just win the championship, he showed us all what winning looks like. He has that true mastermind vibe, and it seems like he is already three steps ahead. Even when the title was stolen, the story is only going to make him more dangerous. I cant wait to see what game he has planned next.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): War Machine, this didnt feel like a conclusion to me, it felt like the opening shots of a great war. Perfect way to make sure the ending hit exactly how it should.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): What really stood out was how all the eliminations had meaning. Some of them shocked me and some were battles of pure will. It didnt feel like random chaos which was rewarding, the match felt like a series of mini stories colliding and creating something special.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): PixelShift the MVP! Dude was everywhere and he never missed a beat. His presence was felt throughout the show. He had strong character moments and he elevated every segment he was a part of. He definitely has the momentum.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: For my first OSW show, this was a lot of fun. The tone was set right away, the luchadors were all unique, and nothing felt out of place or hard to follow. the show was pure entertainment and left me wanting more. If this is the starting point, Im all in.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): Warlord Mars. You wouldn't think he would be the type to choose to run with a crew, so out of War Machine he gives me the most interest in his reasoning to join up with Dr. Cube and Siniestro in forming such a threatening alliance. Also honorable mention to Ziggy Robbins for all the reasons listed above me.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): Nigel Powers and Reverend Blackheart. Very fun clash of personalities with a hilarious payoff at the end. Oh behave!
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): Wrestle Heroes was everything it was advertised to be and more. I liked how storyline threads we saw in the segments tied into the match itself, giving everyone something to do or think about for their characters even if they didn't walk out with a belt.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Yeah I gotta give it to PixelShift like almost everyone else lol. In a realm that seems geared toward villainy, the hero of a virtual world proved himself to live up to the promise of what a "Wrestle Hero" should be in a compelling effort from number one all the way to the final two. Of course, to quote Dafoe Goblin; "The one thing they love more than a hero is to see that hero fail, fall, die trying," and War Machine will be one hell of a level to clear.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: Well written from both a show perspective and from the handlers efforts in RPs. I'm getting a feeling out of OSW that I haven't had in a long while during my time in e-fed. This is something fresh, bold, and creative; and I look forward to getting to be part of what this new era could be.
(Sorry for being so late!)
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): For me overall, the most compelling character throughout the night would've been Ziggy Robbins. I just thought he had such an immense persona throughout. His motivation speech combined with his in-match antics just made me smile. A shout out to Nigel Powers who again, like Ziggy, made me smile.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): I really enjoyed the segment between Warlord Mars and Santiago Siniestro for a variety of reasons. It felt like an old school segment. A backstage interviewer - a big personality. It's simple but effective. Not only that but the combative nature of the segment really helped with their surprise alliance come the end of the show.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): Wrestle Heroes was another incredible match that I was surprised to see play out like it did. I thought the whole show would be a match and found myself surprised by the segment interruptions that never felt forced or out of place. The match built character, as did the segments, and that was amazing.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Dr. Cube, of course. Any time you win a World Championship in OSW, you ought to take this spot and for me winning the biggest prize in this fed is a huge honor and achievement. Dr. Cube earned a phenomenal victory in defeating the entire roster and created a brand new stable that will take some defeating.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: I've loved every character I've ever played in OSW but it feels good to be Edward Newton again. I really enjoyed writing for Wrestle Heroes and the show sparked an excitement in me that I didn't realize I'd lost. I loved every word of it.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?):
Nigel Powers gets the nod from me. It helps that I love the Austin Powers movies but he has a unique flair that is perfect for OSW. I can't wait to see more of his antics especially in what seems to be his first feud. The ultimate perverted spy mixed with a serious reverend screams fun hijinx like we saw with the offering bowl.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?):
War Machine- One of my favorite trends of OSW when I joined was the mind games Newton played. Seeing the first show close with stealing the title through one of his classic games was great to see. A classic war between two intellectuals is going to be fun to watch.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?):
Certainly not the Wrestle Heroes match nah, I loved how it was interwoven with segments that highlighted the majority of the luchadors. Great spots and fun stories in between. I was at the edge of my seat listening to the match and was excited to see how it all played out.
Luchador of the Night (and why?):
On a night devoted to one match and crowning the champions to start the new volume, I have to give it to the new world champion in Dr. Cube. Well done and it was certainly earned with that promo. Honorable mention to the Ironman and almost winner of the match in Pixelshift!
Your Overall Feedback Remarks:
Man, I loved how the entire show was and I forgot how fun it was to just have a poppy show with classic stories and multiple characters that just made me smile. Nostalgia hits as well with characters like Newton and Lux Bellator. Also, I loved how Ziggy was portrayed and makes me think how I want to write him going on.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): Warlord Mars is gonna be a problem. There's a certain gravitas to the character that is gonna make formidable for a long time.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): I Believe in You! I think Ziggy is going to be a really fun character. He stands out from the pack right now just in terms of being different and I can see a lot of fun ways to incorporate him into the broader world.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): I was interested to see how the match would play out and I think the execution with this was really good. Interjecting the individual entrances along the way was nice in that in gave a mini-highlight to everyone before incorporating them into the match. I know from past experiences that writing matches of this magnitude can be difficult to say the least, so I appreciate the effort.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Hard not to give this to the winner, Dr. Cube.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: Strong opening show! Lots of unique characters to work with here. The artwork is also a huge plus. The theme is really fun and I'm enjoying the production. Putting the segments in between the action was also a choice I didn't see coming, but it was executed well. I wish I could have made the live stream to see things play out in real-time, but hopefully schedule will allow me to do so with future shows.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): For me, this spot has to go to Pixelshift for his showing. I think of all the characters in this match, Pixelshift is the one who came away with the biggest push behind him to get more. In one night he went from being Matt's character to feeling like the Neville Sheldon-style underdog we saw in the match.
I'd like to give a side shout to Dr E Vinell. He was just entertaining throughout the whole match. Felt like he was creeping around the ring and being just the biggest weasel about his tactics. Thoroughly looking forward to seeing more of him.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): I Believe In You! With our boy Ziggy Robbins. Ziggy is a pretty close contender for most compelling luchador because he's just fun. He feels like he's going to be a weirdly versatile character in this volume who will fit both serious and comedic stories. Really loved how he came off in his segment.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): Wrestle Heroes...? If there was another match I missed it. But jokes aside this match was beautiful. I really feel like we got to see a lot of personality from every character introduced between the match and the segments themselves. As far as integrating personality and persona into a match, I think this is an excellent example to follow going forward into the new volume.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): Has to be Dr. Cube here, doesn't it? He went the distance and snatched up the world title, going over every last member of the roster and coming out ahead. That alone earns him this spot, but his scheming ways and underhanded tactics definitely help to put him ahead.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: This was an awesome first show. I think my characters were portrayed perfectly and I look forward to seeing how long I can hold the title. I don't think I have much else to say, this volume is already shaping up to be fucking awesome.
Most Compelling Luchador (and why?): Very tough to pick here, a lot of luchadors stood out like Ziggy with his non stop motivational speeches, the absolute joy that was the shagalicious Nigel Powers, the likes of Morcant Blacktide coming in and immediately looking like the monster to slay but I think I have to go against every instinct and big up Pixelshift here.
Every Volume we always have a big babyface underdog character to latch onto like Neville Sheldon, TGK and Destructo Boy. Sometimes they were there from the beginning, sometimes they show up half way or near the end but they make a big impact regardless. Pixelshift immediately came in here and made a big case for being Volume 4's babyface, not just because of the flashy moves or being in from #1 or because he got stretched and beaten harder then a dumb rookie in the Attitude era but because of the slow buildup that by the end, you wanted him to not only survive but get that victory and the screwjob by War Machine at the end was deflating in the absolute best way.
Most Enjoyable Segment (and why?): I mean it's gotta be I Believe In You right? Ziggy Roberts as far as the fun factor goes is easily the favorite luchador of the night. Such a great character that you understand from the very first line, he's absolutely going to be an infurating and hilarious highlight to come and I cannot wait to see what his first feud brings.
Most Enjoyed Match (and why?): Even if the Wrestle Heroes matchup wasn't the sole match, it'd easily win here. A brilliant interwoven match that perfectly introduced the luchadors for the season, gave us some amazing action and moments and was a perfect introduction to the new Volume. Couldn't ask for anything more really.
Luchador of the Night (and why?): yeah it has be Dr Cube doesn't it? Dude went the distance here, beating everyone on the roster to become the first world champion of the volume and did it in true mastermind fashion by beating a newly beloved babyface with screwjob tactics and introducing what could well be a dominant faction in War Machine aty the same time.
Your Overall Feedback Remarks: Amazing show overall, loved how El Padre was portrayed and everything from the segments, to the new characters, to the match itself and the presentation enhanced by the always on point Laners narration made it a brilliant start to the new volume which I'm psyched as hell to be apart of.
