Fashion is a tricky, fickle thing to understand.

Every trend in Arcadia has run through five stages, being introduced to the people before making a rise and hitting its peak.

I’ve seen a few trends really catch fire, the people loving what they see for a good long while.

You’ll even see a fair few folks walking up and down the streets of the Slums wearing the hot new thing.

They love catching the eye of their friends and family, garnering praise, affection, and even a hint of jealousy.

But, as the people say, what goes up must come down.

The trend inevitably starts decline, and eventually becomes obsolete.

People turn their nose at the old, and chase after the new.

Leaving the once-beloved trend in the bin.

Left to collect dust and be torn apart as rags.

It’s a vicious cycle, and it moves on from trend to trend.

A cycle that also affects the trends of Arcadia as a people.

Our history is full of movements that were sparked, that caught on with people quickly.

Governments, revolutions, the whole ilk…they become moments that eventually pass on.

What people do with these trends is entirely up to them.

Some take up positions of power, flexing their muscle in more ways than one as they rule over the land.

Others take umbrage with the whole thing, and fight against oppression.

And then, there are some who simply wear whatever gets them by.

They’ll take on a role of authority if it suits them, enjoying the benefits of holding power over others.

If things go sideways, however, they’ll gladly swap out the old trend for that of a freedom fighter.

Sneaking past any suspicion by promising they were simply being a double agent for the cause.

They all get caught eventually.

The camera sees everything, captures every fine detail.

And this camera has spotted you, Narcissa.

You know a thing or two about trends, of course…you’ve certainly had a chance to wear a few yourself.

At one time you were held in high regard by all of the Pantheon.

You even designed the finest outfits for Zeus himself.

But underneath that golden robe was something much uglier.

Because deep down, you saw the time of the Pantheon as fleeting.

You had your mind set on following a new trend.

The Uprising.

So you took a risk and shed your golden robe…and look where it got you.

Now you’re the one who’s been thrown in the bin.

The lowest levels of Arcadia, where everyone forgot ol’ Narcissa until you came knocking at the door of Olympus.

Practically begging to be let back into high society, and for what?

To turn around and continue the act of revolutionary?

I see right through the ruse.

The light of the flash reveals every detail you’d rather keep hidden.

The click of the shutter captures the truth behind your lies.

The people want their betrayer gone.

And you’ve got to give the people what they want.
