Well, Redgrave is intimidating here. The reveal with all the blood bags was unsettling, to say the least, and I'm all for it. Learning how he knew what was going on inside of APD was a nice added touch with the fear-struck cop. Shows how terrifying Redgrave's presence can be, that an APD officer would turn traitor by the threats he received. It's been a really solid run so far with this guy, and I'm here for it.
Bathe in Blood
The psychotic break was good, and another terrifying one this week. Just the unsettling level of violence unleashed on Grey, and the chilling nonchalance of Red Hood when he arrived and just summoned the cleaner wrapped the segment nicely. Shows how influential Jiro is that he could set a man off the way he did.
BEST MATCH:
Main Event
That ending was absolutely brutal. Not sure what everyone was thinking this week, but the sheer level of violence seemed to creep up and up. The image of EMM holding the guitar string in his mouth as Jasper hangs from it was a really cool one. Awesome work here.
BEST CHARACTERISATION:
Harvey Escher
Seeing the man snap and just go to town on Grey showed me that nothing is off limits in Deathrow in a way I didn't think it'd go. He seemed really unsettled and disturbed by whatever he was told by Jiro, and then showing that Grey maybe wasn't as immortal as he thought. That was a really solid segment.
STAR OF THE SHOW:
The Burned Man
TBM coming to the rescue, maybe he does have some soft spot for Destructo Boy and it creeped out this week. I like how well this unlikely duo works. Plus, TBM got a W against a really game Kpavio. Can't look passed that, either.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
I liked seeing this side of Mannfred. He does care about the Bleak, and wants to protect people. Seeing his failure hit him in the face is going to be hard. But at the same time, he wants to be left alone, wants his peace. So anyone disturbing that would be a serious problem for him, and one he'd deal with violently. I'm intrigued by this Vixen character and what kind of sway she has over Fidel, with that little girl describing her as his "big boss" and how he seems to be scared of her. The little girl getting Mannfred's ear was a nice touch, as well.

Quote from Narcissa Balenciaga on March 17, 2023, 5:41 amMOST ENJOYED SEGMENT & STORYLINE:
Bathe in the blood takes it for me, I've been waiting for this moment since the first death row match. Our first confirmed death of an actual character. I was worried for people after the first match but now it seems like it's bound to happen anytime and anywhere. Putting the death in death row, this segment could be seen as a catalyst for things to come. We also have a man spiraling in Harvey and I'm really curious about what will happen with his story down the road.
BEST MATCH:
The main event takes it, two amazing characters delivering with an amazing match mixed with great high-flying technicality and brutal moments. Jasper wanting to make a masterpiece was brilliant as well as making it his downfall. Loved the finish as well, choking with the guitar string is something I remember suggesting on discord so loved seeing that. It worked well as a brilliant and distinct end.
BEST CHARACTERISATION:
I'm going to give this to Stubbins Doom, when I joined OSW, I always loved seeing Newton outsmart his opponents in various ways. Stubbins Doom reminds me of him in a lot of ways, intelligent beyond most, speaking in ways to confuse others, and being one step ahead always. I love that his segment at the end of the show showed off all the traits that made me excited about this character in the first place.
STAR OF THE SHOW:
I'm going to give this to EMM, winning a hard fought main event match is definitely a major facet in this decision but also he made a major ally in Dr. Death that could lead him to his first taste of gold in OSW. O' Death or as I like to call them prescription notes could be tag team championship very soon and a potential champion plus Invasion briefcase holder makes EMM the star to watchm
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Ok, I'm loving having a character that is a go-getter and doesn't take things as passive as Cael did. Her time in the compound was perfect. Carefully to not get caught while she tags the compound was brilliant. I've been waiting to see that side of her and finally got of it, tagging something to send a message. I'd love to see more of it with her. Narcissa doesn't play and I love seeing her like this.

The Vixen takes it here. A little guiding angel leading Mannfred Curze in the right direction? It sure seems that way, with the way she remarks that people don't see her and knows things she shouldn't. I like that she brings up this mysterious Vixen figure that might be pulling Aarman's strings after the Bleak's leader is at his lowest point so far. Also found it interesting that she vanished when Curze went to look at her. Who is this girl and why did she help a man like Mannfred? While we might never know her motivation, I'm glad we're getting to the climax of this tale and finding out where Fidel is taking these people and why he needs them.
BEST MATCH:
This'll go to the ME. Fun little back and forth that saw both competitors get in some brutal blows against each other. Loved seeing Jasper pull the shoulder up from EMM when it seemed like he had the match won. It showed a lot of character from the Artist and how he views his opponents. Also loved the babyface big spot counter from EMM to get the momentum back on track so he could eventually win the match. Fun bout that I hope we get to see more of.
BEST CHARACTERISATION:
Gonna give this to Dark Gemini. The ditzy side missing the brawl was funny, but seeing the evil side after all this time was a delight to behold. Especially when she approached Blacktooth with absolutely no fear and even tried to hit on him from the looks of things. She's definitely showing a bold side that will possibly result in a partnership/relationship between the Blood Runner and the witch. Can't wait to see what will happen next with these two (possibly three if Kpavio gets involved).
STAR OF THE SHOW:
Giving this to Stubbins Doom. The scientist might not have been in any match this week, but being able to get one over on two gun wielding men that want to prevent you from restoring someone's memory is a damn good showing despite not being booked. Loved seeing Doom activate his lasers in order to intimidate Drexl and Teddy into disarming. Cool showing from Stubbins on this show, I'd say.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Not too much to say on this front, both in terms of segment portrayal and match portrayal. In the seg, the Burned Man mainly just showed up and kicked some ass before rescuing Destructo Boy and going home. Liked the little confirmation that he truly does have compassion for DB. It was merely hinted at in the earlier segments and their prior match, so to see it all but confirmed is a nice sight.
Matchwise, TBM was portrayed alright. He more than likely hates Kpavio with a burning passion right now, and since the Mummy isn't an overly aggressive kind of person yet, him leaving the arena after winning the match was the right call, imo. Overall a strong showing for TBM overall, I'd say.

Bathe in the Blood
What a brutal segment. We have seen some sadistic deaths in OSW history but this one might just take the cake. The splashing in the blood, the maniacal laughter, the description. Harvey Escher puts on one hell of a show.Red Light District
This is the height of messing with the reader. Is it Foley? Is it Wolfe? Is it something else entirely? The heights that this is reaching is crazy, the implications are clearly massive. I really can't wait to see where the story goes.BEST MATCH:
TBM vs Kpavio
A great match with two styles that worked well together. It adds to the feud well and puts TBM over wellheading into the PPV. Great booking and awesome writing.BEST CHARACTERISATION:
Harvey Escher
The writer does an amazing job of making Escher stand out as a crazy violent madman in a Deathrow roster filled with crazy violent madmen.
The laugh is what gets me most. Awesome writing.STAR OF THE SHOW:
TBM
He comes in, making one hell of an entrance in his segment while O’Death watches on... Then backs it up with a win against the very man he cold cocked.
Massive night for TBM.HAVE YOUR SAY:
Vision – this segment does what it needs to do. It builds the tension, it shows that they’re not going to work through their differences in opinion and that the battle looms as the only option. It’s probably not the "woe factor” segment that we will remember for years to come aboit these two but it didn’t need to be. Its building somewhere, I like the grind and the building of tension upon tension.
EMM - There's so much going on! I love the portrayal of O’Death as a collective here. They're on thd same page, talking their way into the belts... If not for TBM.
I love the payment for services rendered conceot to add tension with the titles on the line.
I also love the little wedge added between Luchadoc and EMM. Yoko Frightengale is a nice little tpuch to the dynamics at play. I'm keen to see where this little love triangle goes.

Quote from Jackson Cade on March 17, 2023, 7:29 amMOST ENJOYED SEGMENT & STORYLINE:
Let's go with Bathe In Blood because it was just an intense segment all around. Like, Harvey didn't even try and pose Aster, he just turned him into a bloody mess on the ground. I think it's rather telling that he seemingly just lost his mind entirely here. I guess that's goodbye to Aster Gray and in a big way.
BEST MATCH:
I'll have to give this to the Main Event. While I want to give it to Death Row, I think I've done that a lot in the past few weeks so I'm inclined to give it to the main event this time around. I will say the ending was absolutely perfect with the guitar string around the neck. Really brutal ending to a slobberknocker of a match.
BEST CHARACTERISATION:
I think I gotta give this to Harvey Escher. I mentioned above how much I liked the segment, but he just comes across absolutely fucking mad. It's a total departure from the almost charming and suave version of him we saw just a few weeks ago so I think that's something to point out when it comes to characterization changing as they develop.
STAR OF THE SHOW:
Let's go with... Drewitt I think. Primarily because everything in the world title feud feels like it's completely centered around this guy so far. Him getting his memory back wouldn't just fuck over Drexl, it'd get another guy against Teddy, and with those two in turmoil it'd be a big help to Stubbins! Drewitt is, without a doubt, the key to that entire storyline with how he's been set up and this show proves it.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Jackson Cade: Not much to say, this is a great bit of set up and characterization for Jasper. I'm interested in exactly where this leads and hopefully we get the big pay off at the PPV.
Blacktooth: Loved seeing Narcissa run rampant in the compound just to get back at Blacktooth. I think the way she went about it was perfect for what we know of her character. As far as Blacktooth's portrayal in his segment with Gemini? Well, I wrote that, so I'd sure hope I got it right.

Quote from Colt Ramsey on March 17, 2023, 7:39 amMOST ENJOYED SEGMENT & STORYLINE:
So I have two storylines I wanna touch on here. I've really been digging the progression on O'Death VS Skulltography VS TBM/DB. TBM really impressed me here in particular with the big act of heroism in saving Destructo, though I certainly can't ignore what went down in Nurse III as we see O'Death hashing things out regarding Frightengale before focusing on the plan to take the tag titles "the old fashioned way" come Dead or Alive.
I also had fun reading the progression on Doom/O'Toole/Drexl/Drewitt. I'm a sucker for not only having specialty matches for PPVs but introducing them on TV, so Zeus talking up the Dead or Alive match was a fun bit for the opener...especially explaining the "dead" and "alive" aspects. It looks to be a fun stipulation for a match that seems fitting, as we see with "The Wild West" the four coming to a crossroads in the closer. Great stuff here overall!
(Do wanna give a special mention to "Soon" while I'm here, that was a fun read and "To a patient man, soon can be any time at all" really stuck out to me as a really, really good line!)
BEST MATCH:
The main event really popped as a big battle between Redgrave and Muerte, some really fun back and forth and I dug the counter into the Lethal Symphony and Muerte catching Redgrave from behind with the guitar string as particularly big spots!
BEST CHARACTERISATION:
Man, this is a toughie as always haha. I'll go with two from segments that very nearly came up for me earlier, then; I mentioned "Soon" as being a gripping segment, and a lot of that comes down to the portrayal of Redgrave especially with his remarks about what "soon" actually means.
On the flip side of Redgrave's calculations is Harvey Escher, who stood out to me in "Bathe in the Blood" by, well...bathing in the blood lol. Really builds him up as a truly loose cannon even in the midst of everyone else in Deathrow.
STAR OF THE SHOW:
I'm gonna split the difference here, two big players not only segment wise but match wise: The Burned Man and El Mariachi Muerte.
I've touched on some of this already, but it's just a lot of fun seeing how both have developed this past month. Muerte has a clear focus going into the tag title match and beyond, and TBM has really shown what he's made of as the dynamic between him and Destructo Boy continues to be fleshed out. On top of that, they both picked up a big win tonight!
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Man, what a segment this was. It was interesting to see what lengths Colt is going to for some sort of scoop on Chiba, but I think the real meat of this segment is that confrontation between the two. Kaiju's had enough of Colt's nonsense, using the ring as an equalizer of sorts in getting down to business and settling this issue. Looking forward to seeing where we go from here!

The Deathrow segment was a highlight this week. What an absolute pyscho Escher is, and Gray is definitely a loss to the mini-roster we have going on over there, but he is now just a jumbled mass of viscera. Escher/Jiro feels like it's going to be the big feud in Deathrow, and this death of Gray feels like a big part in that. I like that we're being kept on our toes, never quite knowing what is next.
BEST MATCH:
The ME. A great match, between two keen opponents, and a smattering of blood (but of course, Redgrave is involved...). I really liked the finish with the guitar strings too.
BEST CHARACTERISATION:
Jesus Christ, Jasper Redgrave is all kinds of oddball. "Soon" did a really good job of breadcrumbing that we have something big coming up. It continues this air he has of being absolutely unreadable, but completely open at the same time. We can literally see that he has a collection of blood bags, he's not even trying to hide them, but what that actually means remains unknown. Redgrave is going to be the powerhouse "heel" of OSW for some time, I can see it already.
STAR OF THE SHOW:
I think it has to be Doom. I know he only really appeared in the last segment, but he has everything on lock. He knows exactly where his opponents are at all times, is prepared for them, and even has one of them unconscious and at his absolute mercy in his lab. Who can even stand up to that kind of preparation?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Is "Dead Or Alive" the segment the first time we've had it confirmed what the Dead or Alive match actually is? I feel like I haven't heard about it before now. It's a very interesting concept, and opens up some interesting ideas about what might happen or how it might play out. Either way, the segment is a good hype piece for the match. Looking forward to seeing how it goes!
In terms of "The Wild West", I first of all really enjoyed Doom's reaction to Drexl's language choices. He's the first person to really call that out in segment, and it felt exactly like what an evil scientist character would do in any kind of media. And the fact he essentially has laser sniper beams set up as soon as O'Toole and Drexl arrive is another sign of his forward planning.
Drewitt didn't actually feature much this show, aside from being an unconscious blob, but I still felt this drove the story forward as much as any previous week for him. I'm really looking forward to seeing if this is the moment he gets the memories back, whether that is pushed back, or (and I think this is quite likely) that Doom will insert new, false memories into his head, and Drewitt may somehow end up doing Doom's work for him instead.
