Busting

Busting

“When I was about seven years old, my papa took us on a United States vacation.”

“To get to where he wanted to go, it was a long six hour drive.”

“Before we set off, he told us kids that if we wanted to use the bathroom, we’d better go now because there wouldn’t be many opportunities to stop on our trip. My brother and sister took their opportunity but I didn’t need to go. I remember my papa telling me over and over again to try, but I thought I knew better.”

“Roughly two hours into the trip and I felt it.”

“I needed to go.”

“I remember wanting to go more than anything. It felt like my insides were busting. Every single bump in the road felt like torture and I had no choice but to hold it in. I held it for as long as I could until finally, when I could hold it no longer, I did what every seven year old in the world hopes they’d never do again and that’s…”

Wet myself.

I totally exploded.”

“And it… went… everywhere.”

Great Scott did it go everywhere.”

“You know Jet Set Radio, you’d think I would be angry that when paying our respects in a church, ya’ll nearly killed me. You’d think I’d be furious that your bogus butts nearly killed my friends.”

“But I’ve held it in.”

“You’d think that last week when you two chickens blindsided me and stole my hoverboard that I’d break down. You’d think that I’d let it all out.”

“But I haven’t.”

“The thing is, there’s a lot of bumps in this road we’re driving on, narbo’s. Every single one makes me feel like I’m gonna burst. I’m just sat here in the back of the car, crossing my legs and hoping that the very next bump isn’t the one that makes me explode.”

“Only, it’s kind inevitable, isn’t it?”

“There’s only so long you can hold it in. There’s only so long that you can be busting before you’re busted.”

“At FTW next week, what if our match is just one bump in the road too many? What if I go from holding it in to letting it go?”

Are you ready for that?

“The fact is; I’ve been holding onto this for a long time, not just with you but with Vayikra too. I’ve been busting at the seems for almost as long as I can remember and I don’t care anymore, I’ll be the seven year old in the back of the car with wiz everywhere, but it won’t just be me getting wet.”

“On Monday, you boys are gonna be one bump in the road too many.”

“And you’re gonna wish I was giving you a golden shower, Tag.”

But it won’t be Wiz that bursts from The Generation Kid.

It’ll be rage.

“And when that happens, everyone gets messy.”
